QUEEN CITY CADETS HISTORY
The Queen City Cadets were founded in 1963 by the Oola Khan American Legion
Post 372. In 1972 the Post gave title to corps equipment to the Boosters Club,
as sole sponsor of the corps. The Boosters and the corps incorporated as a unit,
The Queen City Cadets, Inc. Also in 1972, the Queen City Cadets attended the
first ever DCI Championships at Whitewater, Wisconsin placing 35th. The Cadets
continued to compete until their last season, which was 1976. The Cadets tried
to field a corps in 1977, but were unable to do so. The corps folded with most
of the equipment going to the Pride of Cincinnati in 1980. The Queen City Cadets
Alumni is still active to this date and meet once a year.
